A little about me.
My Blue Badge is your assurance that I am a Member of the INSTITUTE OF TOURIST GUIDING, and as such, a "licensed Tour Guide", and have completed the renowned Blue Badge Guide Training Course.
The "Blue Badge" course consists of a minimum of two years intensive study followed by a series of examinations, both written and practical.
The Blue Badge is also your guarantee that I hold full public liability insurance. {Though I haven't killed anyone yet}
I am a historian, I have lectured at the University of London, and carried out research at the British Museum. I love all aspects of history, but I do have a soft spot for military and ecclesiastical architecture {That's Castles & Churches}
I've been in the tourist industry for more than twenty years, beginning in 1985 as a tour bus driver. Since then I have worked as a transport manager, tour organiser, tour manager, tour operator, finally qualifying as a "Blue Badge" tour guide in 2006.
On a personal level, you are on holiday, as well as informative, your time spent with me will be fun and enjoyable, I'll tell you stories you'll never read in the guide books, everything from love stories, and there are plenty of them in our past, to the horror stories of the Tower of London, and everything in-between, I'll tell you myths and legends, and there are plenty of them as well.
My key words are entertain, inform, and interest.
